In reply to the "This is why I am glad I drive a 97"

I didn't want to ***** up the other thread because I know I hate it when I see a thread that is 10+ pages long.

Anyway, this is the epitome of the 95-96 Max.

This is why I like them better than 97-99s...beacause of the car below:

Thanks ny96max

HELL YES! Anthony's and Jay's (now gone) cars are the HOTTEST on the .Org no question! Just look at that rear! (shorter bumper, smoother rear aero pieces, nicer tails)

I'm feeling like I want to have fun right now, so these are appropriate smilies, in this order might I add

I personally like the 97-99 look of the reds on the top of the tails and the smaller grille. But then again, I drive a 97. At any rate, its a Maxima from the 4th gen and I love it. I'd probably love it just as much if I had a 95-96 style as well.

I think that the 95/96 red/clears look better. The red on top and clear on bottom is done by too many. There is civic, subaru, accord, prelude, acura, etc.

I like the rear of the 95-96 much better, but the front of the 97-99 with the front lip better. I've always thought the 95-96 front lip looks kinda odd, IMO.

That is true. I guess I'm just sticking up for my years...

BTW, is it just me, or do the 95-96 Stillen rear pieces look REALLY good and REALLY flush? They look very factory, and bring to mind the current MB C-class rear bumpers.

And Vyrus, I just had some orange juice, hahah.

the Front end of the 97-99 is much more aggresive with more edge to it. the 95-96 is too rounded and looks... well

Yes they do. In my opinion the Stillen front and rear aprons for the '95-'96 Maxima look MUCH better than those for the '97-'99. The front doesn't look factory, but it has a touch of elegance which the '97 seems to lack. The rears look very good too, especially from the side. The sideskirts I'm not a fan of though, I think they are a little too bold for the kit, but hell if I had the money I'd buy em.

And what was in the juice?

I have a '96, but unlike you guys, I like the 97-99 ones better. I hated the front end of my '96, that's why I did a conversion to the 97-99 front end. I'm going to do a rear conversion soon too, whenever my trunk lid gets to me. The Stillen front lip for the 95-96 looks too weird and plain, not aggressive enough. If I could do it over again, I would get a 97-99 Maxima...5spd!

97-99 are safer..

I DO like the 95-96 grill though... more Home Depot mesh-friendly

95-96 maximas got j/k

personally, i think the 95-96 or 97-99 red/clear tails look just as good as one another. I just don't like the crease on the back of 95-96's. Also, 97-99 front end looks more modern.

In defense of the 95-96s, I'm one of the few people that thinks your Stillen front lip looks better than the 97-99, because its a lot simpler and smoother, and fits with the rest of the kit.

i'm not gonna even lie, i love the 95-96 body style, i mean i dont' see too much of a difference but i like the back a lot more on the 95-96, heck i used to own one but there are so many other things on the 97+ that are so much better than the 95-96 in looks, from the steeering wheel, to the cup holder, to the dam stock bose head unit and even the head lights, the 97+ come with more features and better looks and although the 95-96 has a little better body, the difference in body is NOT that far apart, however the other mods that make the 97+ so great are...

just my 2 cents

so you pick two of the best looking 95 maxima's and then say they all look better than 97 - 99? do you really want me to go digging up black and emerald 97 - 99 maxima's that would own those two? delio, jason, global threat, OgreDave... the combination of black/gunmetal rims on a 97 - 99 ownz 95/96's.. i mean.. look at 1MAX2NV's car .. please man.. be realistic.. from the front to the back.. the 97 - 99 looks better.. stock for stock? please.. the front end, the rims, the rear.. its no comparison

not to mention if i had got in the same accident with my 97 with my "5 mph" bumpers my car wouldn't have been totalled..

I was just having a little fun man. Check the original thread of why that guy was happy to own a 97. I posted many praises about the 97+s, exactly what you list above. Sorry if I offended you or something. And yes, I know about that 5mph bumper test. Again, read my post in the other thread. Ah, nevermind, here:
