Thanks for the post. I went in there and they mad eit sound like it was the hardest install they have ever faced. Took a band of 4 guys to take a look at it to tell me it was a big job. I looked at them and laughed. IT IS A STRAIGHT UP UNBOLT AND BOLT PROCESS! 20 MINUTES TOP with air gun! I will do it myself this spring. Rather spend the $ on my system. Thank Bro and Happy New Year to you.

IIRC, my Y-pipe and Cat installation was about $100.

Yep, if you got the time and the tools do it yourself. It's not that hard.

Hmm. A 98 shouldn't be too rusty. If you have problems taking off the bolts, take it to a shop and pay em $20 to loosen/change the bolts and hand tighten them. THen go home and swap away.

Y Pipe is pretty easy to do. Looking at the Cat too, that looks straight forward as well. I did my Y Pipe in 1 hour.

here's a link to my write up

I get all of my exhaust work done at a local shop.

I have gotten my y pipe and catback exhaust installed for $80 total.

They have the tools to do this and labor should be no more than 30-45 minutes.

Hope this helps!
