TRENZ Billet Grill Owners-Middle Bar Or Not?

How many of “us” here have the 1st Generation TRENZ Billet grill that has no “support” bar down the middle?

And how many have the new style w/this so-called support bar down the middle?

I had the older one but I sold it awhile back. I just recently bought another one and it is the newer version. I'm going to powdercoat this one gunmetal. I wonder how long the finish would last againest all the rocks.

I got the older no bar down the middle one. Mine DOES have a middle support but its in the back of the grill out of sight. I have no idea why trenze thought it was cool it put that ugly thing in the front when it was fine in the back.

selling?

I'd much rather prefer the older style than the newer one with the bar goin down the middle. BTW, If anybody is thinking about selling their old style for a 97, please let me know...thanks tzmanles@earthlink.net

I see.. I think my first ever post on the org was asking if anyone has one of these available..back when my status was 'I finally posted something!', and I STILL havent found someone selling one...Even though that wasnt that long ago $$ isnt even a factor for me, Im sure if someone will be selling one, it will be less than the $150 that Custommaxima is selling the one with the bar brand new. I mean, I would pay the $150 NEW if they were offering it withOUT the bar!

that's right the lower valnce grill does not come w/the bar at all

and when you are trying to clean it or polish it w/some force it flexes and if you push on it too hard it can bend like all aluminum...I think they all should come w/a bar but like the 1st one's where it is behind the lines and it is black where you cannot see it....

i have the one with the bar down the middle and i hate it, i think the stock 97-99 grilles look great, wish i didnt get rid of mine, but the grille goes real well with the clear corners and foglights, it makes my car look cleaner from up front

WHICH LOOKS BETTER?

EXAMPLE:
When I had just the billet grill:

When I had the grill and front lip:

Now I have both grill and the front lip:

Or someone w/the Sarona
http://images.cardomain.com/installs...250_7_full.jpg

or Skyline where you can only put on the billet grill only:

Just different scenarios!

im still waiting to see a painted/powdercoated grill. teh pollish on these grills are too bright for me and it stands out way too much at times. I wish I got a non pollished version they used to carry.
