i have sprint/agx combo and it looks so beautiful i wouldn't go with anything higher.

i got some f'ed up roads down here so ride is bumpy and i have 2k1 rims (17" with 7" width) so that contributes as well but i wouldn't take them off, the look is great but i think i'm tooo lowered to get a kit...

Max4speed, Nismo2020 and myself were on stock struts for about a year before going with a aftermarket shock/strut combo.

How did you cut a coil off? What did you use to cut it? Was it hard to do?

I would remove them and ask around wont take more then 5 mins to slice thru both rear springs once they are off the car and the shock.

Yea I had Sprints on OEMs with 17"s for 12 months and over 12,000 miles. Never had a blow strut, and the ride is very similar to a 2/3 AGX combo. It didn't handle then like it does now with AGXs, but the ride was fine and a strut never blew (I had them checked many times, and keep in mind I put them on when the car had 60k miles). Now I have a coil cut in the rear, and my drop is still not even. Better, yes, but not even. Either way I love my Sprints, you just can't beat the handling.

My Sprint/AGX combo is the unreal. I love it! The car also sits very aggressively. No problems except a blown right shock because I hit a MAJOR pothole in Philly.

And I must say that the car rips corners like Kelly Slater rips barrels/Willie Nelson rips tubes.

I am going to either go with Sprints and konis or intrax's with Koni's.

Should i go with sprints for the biggest drop, or would it be more sensible and for better handling to go for the intrax springs?

What u guys think? any ideas bout intrax?

will be running either 17X8 or 18X8 superleggeras. Which should i get for a 4th gen?

so many choices so many opinions...some one give me an idea, i have no idea which ones to get and yes i've searched this a million times, i want a good strut spring combo, the back end of my car as it is now in stock stance sits a little lower because of the 100lb speaker box and i also bring friends around with me. I dont wanna be bottoming out and having to re plan my activities due to speed bumps. can anyone point me in the right direction...i'll also be keeping the stock 16" se rims on...can any one help?

The rear konis have two spring perches and its designed just in case you have to tow something or have heavy stuff in the rear you can set it on the top perch, downfall is prior to the install you have to adjust it unlike the rear KYB AGX, the front Konis you can adjust from the top with a ****. I still love my konis even if KYB has these sweet AGXs, besides these Konis have lifetime warranty unlike the 1 year KYB shocks.

which koni's do you have, i was lookin on custommaxima and theres 2 diferent ones, basicly cheap or expensive. that sux that you can only adjust the rear ones upon instalation, you think that would make it to stiff in the rear?

I got the Koni yellows, you adjust the rebound to your taste I am on 75% stiff in the rear and full stiff in the front.

ive got sprints on my colt, i know its a different car, but many guys with the talon, (same suspension BTW), with sprints dont like them, I on the other hand am the black sheep, and bought sprints, i have absolutely no complaints with them, progressive wound, and have a nice low drop and actually improve handling.

If you are looking for low, go with sprints, but if you want good control, spend the little extra, and go german, eibach.

Ive got eibach(prokit)/tokico on my maxima, but after a couple of years on it, the ride has softened up a little, not a lot, just a little, im thinking i should have gone with the koni's instead, but its all good for now, the maxima is old now and not worth putting any more money into it.

Sportlines are very sweet springs, they give you low and they are tight all the time, the prokit give you a subtle drop, hardly noticeable, and are confy around town driving and highway, but tighten up on hard turns and harsh bumps.

It depends on what you looking for.

After going from Sprints to B&G's this weekend, I now realize what all the people that hate Sprints are talking aobut - a whole world of difference....nice dorp, better handling than Sprints, and a WAY less harsh ride.

sprints are harsh, but a controlled harsh, just like the sportlines from eibach. I like a harsh ride over a cadillac ride.

If someone wants the best of both worlds, confy and harsh when its req'd, then my suggestion is eibach prokit

My problem with Sprints was simply that there was not enough wheel travel....I would hit potholes ocasionally, the the rim would bounce up and not have any travel against the control arm and then something had to give - usually the rim....I bent all 4 rims in 6 months, not even counting the axle problems I had....

Just my personal opinion, but Sprints are way too harsh and bad for the car's health.

Nothing wrong with my car at all - now that the Sprints are gone.

She runs and drive beautifully now.

Cant Decide?

Just get air rods!
You can have it in 4x4 mode or "super rice look i cant make it over that ant!" modes.

Plus its fun pulling up to stop lights and banging the switches!
