RPM jumps... clutch slipping? i hate my tranny system
Ok, within 10 min of me driving the car (i only let it warm up for 20 seconds *as if it makes any difference* ) and i was on my normal straight drive to the highway ramp. Well, the temprature gauge was in middle meaning the car had been warmed up so as i was getting off the ramp to get onto the highway, I had been shifting at 3k like usual. Well, when I was in 3rd gear my RPM was at 3k then somehow jumped to 4k but i wasn't feeling a pull and then it lowered back to 3k... what does this mean??? clutch slipping?? The clutch was replaced 20k miles ago! Also, I remember having a similar problem like this before... yesterday and a month ago. I never paid real attention to it till now. I tried to reproduce it on the highway but no luck. Any ideas?
BTW- my tranny does have the differential bearings problem as well as a vibrating shifter (makes that annoying rattling sound). Could this be related somehow? Also, if you have any ideas on how to fix the rattling, I'd greatly appreciate any advice! Thanks
