Is it Worth Getting A MEVI Being That I Have A 99 Cali-Spec??

Well I've been reading some recent post on the VI, and the more I read the more I get discouraged about buyin the Vi. I've read that powergains of the Vi are only felt above 5000rpms with a JWT Ecu, and being that I have a cali-spec Max there are no such ECu upgrades for me. I love my lowend power but I always feel my car getting weaker in the upper Rpm range(then again I still have stock cat-back) and I thought the Vi would solve that without giving up my lowend. I don't know what to do. I was ready to order the Vi tonight but after reading I don't know if it worth paying that amount of $$ for minimal gains being I have no Ecu upgrade. My driving style is balanced;I want the lowend power as well as highway power. I street race and highway race but from what I seen and read it is a trade off,a VI max will be slower in the streets than a N/A Bolt-on USIM max. And also I want to run 13's 1/4 mile NA, but was said 13's are acheivable with the USIM or the MEVI What should I do?? Please help

I have one and I'm going to install it. I had cold feet for a while but this thing will do more good than bad when I decide to either put nitrous or a small turbo on this thing. The way I see it is that you got to pay to play. Autos have been running the 1/4 quicker with this mod and the gains are definitely there. Hopefully there will be a mod that will bring the low end up but it will take some tinkering.

I can give you some lowend power for cheap. Bypass your swirl control valve.
