question about y pipe install

OK, I got my car up on a lift today and was going to install my new budget Y pipe, but the bolts on the cat were rusted like hell. We have an air gun i can use to get them off, would this be a bad thing to use or is it alright? and should i replace w/ new bolts or use these ones again? I'm just afraid of stripping them w/ the airgun or something. PLus i was dumb and the exhaust was VERY hot when I got it up so I couldnt have installed it either way. Thanks,
Justin

soak the bolts in penetrating oil first..then use the airgun..I would replace the bolts myself after you get them off.
