how do you get at outer two screws to hold on rear spoiler of 96 maxima? there are no access holes on outer edge of trunk. do you drill holes or remove rear light assemblys or is there a trick to installation.

that hold the spoiler on. The outside is held on by 4 clips.. 2 on each side. It doesn't seem like it but it is... I recommend after you remove the screws, to shut your trunk and do the rest of the pulling that way so you don't rip off the spoiler and kinda recoil and hit the trunk cause you'll scratch the shiet out of it...

the spoiler is a new installation, no holes are in the trunk lid yet. do these clips go in from the outside top of trunk?

To my knowledge, the square clips (hopefully you have them from the dealership) are attached from the outside. I do believe they are glued in or something because when I ripped off the spoiler after taking off the bolts, the clips stayed on the trunk. I'm assuming you bought a spoiler from the dealer or something so you should have the clips, seals and stuff... good luck
