On the far right air vent I can hear this weird sound like a fan turning on and when I turn the air off I can hear the fan winding down and stopping. Its not the fans on the front of the car, but more like something actually inside the AC vent. Can anyone help me out and tell me how to fix this please?

This is a problem on alot of 4th gens. It is just a design flaw. I am not sure if there is a TSB out for it or if it can be fixed.

I am having the same problem for the last 4-5 months or so. It doesn't matter if it's AC or Heat, it sounds like the fan that blow air into the carbin is out of oil or something, lot of friction.

At first it only happens when the fan is in the lowest speed and started to happens even with medium speed. I know this is the fan because when I turn the thing of, the sound starts to slow down with the fan.

I just searced the Faq's and there is a TSB out for this problem on the '97(didn't check other model years). It is TSB#99-071A and was relased in Feb of '00 as a blower motor noise. Personally it doesn't really bother me, my music is up too high anyway. Check with your dealer and see if there is a solution for it. With a TSB out most likely there is.
