ok, i have a 96 GLE, and a 90 300zx na, my question is can a stage 2 300zx na, beat a stock 2000 Infinity i30? , Did any stock maximas race the 2000 Infinity i30, what was the results? how much hp i gain from intake=?, exhaust=?, ecu=?

and this confused me before...what is the use of the overdrive button?, is it better to use it off or on?, doesn't it consume more gas, if the o/d is off?,

I don't know if you know, but the Maxima and I30 are literally idential under the sheet metal. Same engine, same everything, so stock vs. stock should be equal. I don't know about the 300 vs I30 question. OD is a pretty abbreviation of 4th gear in autos. Under about 35 mph, you won't even notice it. Just let the tranny shift for itself and leave the OD on. In daily driving it doesn't make too much of a difference.

I use the OD off when traveling around mountains or other very hilly roads. It's meant to disable the car from going into 4th gear and back to third and to fourth and so on. But even then, when you are going down mountains, you want it back on if top speed is not an issue - you'll let the car utilize the downhill force and keep the revs lower. I just went on a trip to the smokeys and was driving my wife's caravan and the stupid OD off button is mounted on the right side instrument panel. What lack of consideration, I had to keep looking for it while driving. On the shifter is good as on our cars.

The stock 300zx NA had, what, 222-HP? Stage II takes it to about 240-HP+. The stock I30 has 227-HP... It'd be pretty close, but, given equal driving ability, I think the 300zx would steadily walk away.

HP gains from mods vary from car to car. The dyno test is the only way to measure/tune/optimize. The intake, exhaust, and ecu may add 15-25+ total HP. These 3 mods work better in concert than they do individually...

The OD button? Leave it on, unless the car starts "hunting" between 3rd and 4th, as with hilly or mountain driving.
