going to install y pipe today...

ok, I've had my budget y pipe for over a week now and its been killing me not to install it, so today is the day. I know I should reset my ECU after I install it but I have one problem. whenever i reset it and then go for a drive, i have this mad lowend power whether or not its because of a new mod. And since this happens, i wouldnt be able to feel the power of the y pipe. anyone else have this problem? should i take it for a drive and then reset? i know the full potential will set in after a couple days, but what do you guys think? Its on an auto by the way, do 5spds do the same thing with the ECU?

You don't "need" to reset the ECU. The ECU is constantly learning. It will take the same amount of time to fully adjust to the new flow whether you reset it or not.

It should come with 3 gaskets. Also I didn't have to reset the ECU.

my budget has been sitting on the floor for about 3 months. And you can't stand it. And I have a ApexI filter i look at everyday in my trunk and the 7"screen I bought from the GD on my desk. Its killing me.

I have a '98 5-Speed and installed my Budget-Y two weeks ago without re-setting the ECU. Everything fit and works great...better then I even expected. From my understanding the ECU is constantlly learning and does not need to be reset as mzmtg said.
