after school today i pulled out of the parking lot and began to drive off and i heard like a squeeling (eeeeee) sound coming from the engine..is it a belt? and sometimes before it sounded like it came from the tires...theres probably numerous ways this sound can produce but im sure from the right side of the engine and sometimes sounds like my left tire

 

Squealing sound from wheels = brake wear indicators

from engine compartment = most likely a loose accessory belt

i've been hearing the same thing recently. i think i just have to tighten the belts. is this something that i can do easily on my own?
