After all this, is the VI worth it or nah....

Ok Ive heard many arguments about it after its been out for about 6 months and readily availible, Is It Worth It ?? Not money wise because I have the thing sittin in my room, but worth the time to put it in and actually put my time into installing it ? pretty much, will I like the outcome once the warmer months start up and I can install it

Do it. You will not regret it. You've got a sweetly modded 4th gen right there. I only wish I had all those mods. With MEVI your car will be badass. With JWT ECU it will be even moreso.

I love mine and am debating the JWT ECU. Install it and never look back. Sorry to hear you're still having problems with the clutch though.

It will be a good experience putting it in. If you don't like it, take it out. Give it a try. Their are many others who would love to have that VI...like me but can't because it's too much $$$ =)

I dont understand, you lay down all this money for something as rare as the mevi, and then you dont want to install it? It is something many of us here at .org would love to have. Put it on man!

Look at this way. It won't do much for you in 0-60, BUT once you're in 3rd, the lungs open wide and no USIM 4th gen with the same mods will be able to keep up. From a quality standpoint, the VI makes the VQ feel very refined and the intake noise is much more sedate plus the switchover sound is pretty bad-***. Linear power is available from 2000 all the way to fuel cut. As you know, USIM begins to choke at 5400 and intake noise is downright "snorty". With a JWT ECU, the VI will be wicked from the top of 1st gear on.

I can't understand why people keep questioning this mod. This mod makes your car faster, period. It doesn't show huge 3 second improvements in the 1/4 mile, no you wont run 9s with it, but it DOES make you faster and every single person who's purchased one has not regretted it, it's the people who don't have it that say it's not worth it. Why are you questioning it?

Yeah Ian, I've been very pleased. I've had the VI installed for about a month and a half now. We installed 3 of them at one time here on the east coast. It was a lot of fun, well it was a learning experience. I wanted to post in the good seller list but the thread has been locked for some time now. I'm very pleased w/ the VI and the way in which you handled the group deal. IanS is a good seller!!!! Thanks again, I owe you everything above 5k hehe. Wish I was SC'd though.

Yeah although I dont have VI, its one of the best mods. As good as a ypipe. Like I said in the other thread, if I had a 95/96, I would get VI, ECU, Bpipe + 2k muffler, rather than NOS.

I'm one of the 10 people that will be dynoing with Steve on Feb 2nd. We gonna have 10 maxima dynos on 1 day with all sorts of configurations. Auto, stick, VI, NOS, SC and etc.. I cant wait.
