High Idle? (5spd)

High Idle? (5spd)
I am experiencing high idle at around 900-950rpm. I have already tried adjusting it using the idle adjustment screw. I recently changed the oil, and I thoroughly cleaned my IAC. I haven't attempted cleaning my PCV or checking my spark plugs, or changing my fuel filter, but the car runs perfectly fine(not sluggish, good gas mileage) when driving. I also have a new air filter. If someone can relate to this or can relay me to a previous thread, it would be much appreciated.

After cleaning the IACV you NEED to reset your ECU...the computer is still spitting out the same info to the IACV in how to keep it at idle and its f-ed up now cause its used to all the gunk that was in there before...reset it even if you dont have a CEL and it will be back to normal, trust me...

i have a high idol problem. in gear its around 1k-1200 and when in park or neutral its about 1600-2k. it really P*sses me off because its hard to break when you car is opposing the breaks by idoling higher, i dont know what the problem is, and i havnt had time to get to the dealer for them to fix it, it occurs here and there like 2 times a day.

If you cannot get the idle down by turning the adjustment screw on the bypass for the IACV, then your next step is to adjust the default throttle stop screw slightly.
An idle speed of 900 RPM's is to high. It should idle around 750 in neutral or park.
Disconnect the TPS sensor, start the car and adjust the throttle plate stop screw until you get the correct idle speed. (~750)
Reconnect the TPS and start the car. Your idle should be correct.
If after you set the throttle stop screw your idle is still to high, then try bringing it down by adjusting the air bypass on the IACV once again.
