In Need of Desparate Help after KS
When I bought my car, I checked the codes and saw an 03 04 and so I bought a knock sensor. I replaced it about an hour ago and all went pretty well. It was incredibly tight on to begin with and took a full two hands pressure to get off. I used a telescoping magnet for the whole process if that matters. Once we fiddled a lot with the harness it went in and we replaced the U clip. I then reset the ECU, started the car, revved to about 5-6,000 and then turned it off and checked codes to find 05 05 --NOTHING! Then I was backing out of the garage and at around 2,000RPM the CEL came on. It was never on before, it just had a code in the ECU. So I immediately turn it off and check for codes....still 05 05...I was low on gas, so I drove to the gas station around 40MPH with the CEL flashing. It says that has something to do with a misfire...I checked codes again and still 05 05. I am really upset, I dont have any money to bring it to a dealer. Ive looked over everything and I dont see any loose connections or anything. The sensor is snug, but not TIGHT as before, it is a good one hand of pressure. What do I do??? Please help!
