How do I take the screens off the front speakers of my 96 GXE? I had some new front speakers installed, and I noticed up close the factory screens have this stupid *** grey foam in between them and where the speakers are mounted.
How can I take the plastic factory screens off the door so I can remove that foam? I tried prying at them with a screwdriver, but that seems like it will break them as there is too much resistance.
Thanks,
Katama

You gotta take the door panel off, then remove the screws that hold the screen in. Its simple.....remove the screws at the bottom of your door, the one in the handle part, the inser that goes around the opener thing (cant think of the word) and then slide your finger all around the gaps to get teh plastic clips to pop out. do this with the windows DOWN or else you can scratch your windows if nto careful when removing the windows. hope that helps.
Thanks!
Yeah, I figured it out, it's like 5 screws. That was enough to stick my hand under there and rip that stupid fabric out. The speakers are recessed far enough that they won't be damaged accidentally.
