ECU Codes P1445 & P0325

I just got a code for P0325 (Knock Sensor #1 Circuit Bank 1) and another mystery code P1445 (which states I should consult a technician or manual). Does anyone know what these codes point to (the problem)?

Also, I don't know if this means anything, but lately (within the last few days or so), my RPM's have started dropping to about 500 and bouncing back up to around 800 when I am traveling around 30 - 40 mph and I step off of the gas pedal... could this be related?

The P1445 code or 1008 (flash code) is referring to a fault in the EVAP canister purge volume control valve. You might want to start here in correcting your problem. As far as the knock sensor, if you haven't replaced this recently, this "ghost" code basically pops up about 90% of the time, along with any emmission problem within the CEL codes. So, I wouldn't worry too much about this sensor, but it's very worthwhile in replacing it if its bad.

code P1445

Is there a problem with driving the car with this problem: EVAP canister purge volume control valve? In other words, will I kill my car if I wait until the weekend to work on it?

Also, how much does one of these cost? Is it a DIY fix?

Thanks.

I doubt it you will kill your car, but any time a sensor goes bad, it's always worthwhile replacing it as soon as possible. Continuously driving with a bad sensor can possible alter other sensors as well if not corrected. I would limit my amount of driving and replace the sensor soon. I'm not sure about the price of the sensor, though. Your best bet is to call your local Nissan dealer and ask for the price, along with the part number. Use the part number to search around the web for a cheaper price. This is what I do, because 9 times out of 10, you'll save alot of money because the local Nissan dealers are outrageous on their prices! Good luck!
