your going to need a MAF adapter... be sure your shop gives you this. then the filter clamps right on that adapter.

What a rip off. Thats like buying a geo metro for $25,000. Go on ebay and bid on one. I know ebay doesn't sell the highest quality stuff, but the price reflects it. They have a CAI on there for like 60 shipped or so...get that.

You do not need a MAF adapter. If you look inside your airbx top, you'll see a gold colored piece, remove this, attach the filter to it and bolt it to the MAF. You may need to use a little silicone to seal the plate to the MAF.

I used a $20 AutoZone filter & some K&N oil I already had to make this:

You can take off the entire intake setup before the filter. There's no air running through it, so you might as well take off the 4 miles of tubing. The lower part of the filter box only has something like 3 or 4 bolts on it.

Honestly, get your intake stuff. No special tools are needed, just a screwdriver and a socket set. When you get your stuff, just open your hood, take off the filter box, unbolt the MAF. Everything should be 10mm bolts or large hose clamps. It's probably the easiest mod you can do to your car other than clear corners. If you know what you're doing, you can install the thing in less than 30mins. If you want to take your time, maybe an hour.

For the cone filter, I think your best bet is a K&N. They are renowned in many many automotive circles and blow away foam filters.
