I have a 98 SE with 94K miles. While backing out of my garage and braking, a loud noise is heard froim the rear wheels. This happens on some morning and not others. The rear brakes were just done with new rotors and pads, and then redone with new rotors and pads, and I still have this noise. The noise was not present before the brakes were done, I think. Sounds like nnnnnnnnn and stops once I take my foot off the brake and does not happen again (sometimes) until the car sits for a long while. What's up? Thanks.

Brake grone. Happenes to quite a few. Make sure your calipers are not hanging up. Were the guide pins cleaned and regreased when you did the brake job? Shops tend to over look the detail work. Also were the correct shims used or were no shims used on the pads???

I had similar problem after installing new rotors and Raybestos QS Pads. It went away after about 300 miles. Shims, caliper pins were fine, just took some time for pads to seat. Never does it now.
