what do you guys think?

My clutch started to slip during hard accelerations, I am thinking my clutch went bad. I only have a few bolt-ons (intake, UDP and exhaust incl. y-pipe), should I spend money for any sports/racing clutch (~350) or just get an $120 OEM replacement from these guys:

Whould I see any improvement if I get a stage 1/stage 2 clutch?

Thanks in advance.........

You will feel the difference in the way the clutch pedal feels and the clamping force.

here's a bunch of thought other people have had about OEM and ACT/HDMM clutches

thanks.....

It seems like many people started to have problems with their transmissions after installing ACT........

Did you guys ever hear anything about that company I listed in the first post? Is there any other that make OEM replacements?

....another thing, I do understand how the racing clutch is better than OEM, my question is, Is it worth it/needed? Did any one has experienced too much slipage with a new oem clutch?

It's not needed if you are driving your car as a daily driver. I just got a new oem clutch and it grabs just fine. No slippage.

If you don't plan on doing any mods to your car, keep it oem. If you plan on doing any track racing, 1/4 mile racing, etc, the get the ACT. Otherwise IMHO you're just wasting your money. I got an ACT and kept it for 1K miles. It turned out the dealer mis installed it and the flywheel was blued and groved as the result. I ended up telling them to take it out and put an oem clutch back in, and ended up needing a new flywheel to boot.

If you plan on doing any type of Mods, do it... otherwise learn from my 2K mistake

After using an ACT clutch, I'll never go back to an OEM clutch. The new setup takes some getting used to but after the first time you chirp third gear, you'll be very happy with your decision. By the way, I have had no problems with the ACT clutch as of yet.

I do, you have to deffently baby it, it gets hot fast, and when it does it starts slipping

But some ways i have learned to help it not slip is by fully letting off the gas when i pop the clutch, but othere then a few slip's its a good clutch...i actuly have the Sachs clutch but its basicly the same thing, i pull in on a avg of 14.3 - 14.5 with it
