Injen CAI Radiator Fan Clearence Question?

I installed my Injen Intake yesterday, and it fit fine and was a pretty easy install. I checked it this afternoon to make sure that it was still there and all connected. I looked down at the radiator fan and there were some plastic shavings because my intake was a little bit in the path of the fan. Did this happen to anyone else? I tried adjusting it so it wouldnt rub with the fan, and all the positions were in the way of the fan. How much clearence is there between your intake filter and fan?

i hav a little over an inch. Did you move your battery cables when you installed the intake? I realize it's not in the instructions, but i was running out of room when installing it, so i clipped the tie that was holding the battery cables on the side where they are. Now thecables go along the top of the battery. This moves the intake pipe closer to the battery, and further away from the fan. I don't know if it will help or not....
