mine is the cylinder type filter, I found the larger cone type filter pushed the fender liner out causing rubbing problems

when I had CAI I went to about 4 different types of filters and all were larger than the skinny one that came with the pre monsterflow CAI's.
one of the K&N filters I used was 8052a6

any filter with a 3" inlet will work and if the filter is too large and hitting the wheel well you can elongate the hole to extend the pipe away from the fender.

did you notice a big diff changing from the skinny filter that came with the cai to one of hte larger ones?

also, the one that you mention with the model number, did you have to make more room/etc to make it fit w/out rubbing etc

I bought my PR cai after they have switched to monsterflow filter so I never used a skinny one before. all I can notice is that the K&N were slightly louder than the foam monsterflow.

I didnt need to make the hole bigger for the other K&N I had since the rubber inlet of the filter was flexable enough to bend against the wheelwell. the K&N was actually off of a injen intake if that helps you to locate one.
