Greddy is to loud for me!!!

Well it is annoying as ...well you know. I have a test pipe on that I havent taken off yet since I took the supercharger off. People have told me this will make a big difference in sound. Is this true. I want to take it off but its so cold outside I dont want to crawl under the car.

From the posts I read while deciding on a cat-back it won't make much difference. I chose my WS because it was very quiet, the GREDDY is louder with the STILLEN being the loudest( if memory serves right). Try to get a shop to put one of those silencing things on(forgot name, crap) in the b-pipe...

My greddy is way quiet, it doesn't make hardly any exterior noise. The interior racket is pretty bad, but my intake is partly to blame for that. Gotta be your test pipe.

hey meccanoble you have or had the test pipe on with a y pipe and cat back?I was just asking because I was going to put on my test pipe on with my budget y pipe and obx cat back, and pr intake. do you think this setup will be to loud? After all the test pipe is resonated and the catback has two resonaters, will the resonated test pipe make a big noise differnce and is it worht having it on.does the test pipe give you increse in power like people say.

i didnt have test pipe on when i had obx catback installed...the noise before was too much already...i had custom catback with no resonators and a silencer, y-pipe and test pipe....the test pipe didnt make it any louder, just made it a little ricier...at high rpm's i would get a nasty bees in a can, raspy sound...and at low rpm's, if purred right, i would get that nasty sound mixed with the drone....it wasnt crazy bad but NOWHERE, and i mean NOWHERE near the quality of sound i have now with y-pipe and obx catback....

I have a test pipe from WSP. No difference in noise at all.

If you don't want a lot of noise, get an Apexi WS. Almost too damn quiet!

I bought some generic test pipe off of ebay. Also no difference in noise at all. It's the type of muffler and the presence (or absence) of a resonator in the b-pipe that makes most of the difference.

Trust me if u put the stock cat back on you'll be fine, mine is real quiet unless i get on it, otherwise its a nice tone... Try it before you change exhausts.
