WTF? My front bumped is PEELING
So I've had my 98 Max (superblack) for a year now. I know it had a minor fender bender before I bought it. The front right fender was repaired and I wasnt sure but now I pretty much am that the front bumper was replaced. Now theres suddenly (a year later) a spot about 4inX4in on the front right side at the bottom of my bumer where the paint is PEELING off! Underneath the bumper is white which leads me to believe they got a used one off a white maxima. Am I correct in my assumption? Whats the best way to proceed, get the bumper repainted properly??

it was repainted and done poorly. probably did not prep the peeling area or the whole bumper, well. no u should really take it to a good body shop. some places usually shortcut the job to save time and money.

All of my clear coat is peeling off the front bumper and driver fender, it's basically the same problem. The owner before me was rear ended and pushed into another car, so m3 paint down in santa monica shortcutted their way through and didn't bake it correct and now ive got a pearlescent white on the rest of my body and an off-white bumper and fender.

I just had estimates done on my front end for a REPAINT of the "Peeling" on my front bumper.
They have to:
1.Remove the entire front bumper.
2.Sand down/blast the bumper.
3.Apply a Prep/Flex agent/primer
4.Apply the Factory paint.
5.Clear coat it.
Estimates ranged $329 to $445.
Just spraying over it will lead to further "Peeling" and Cracking"
I'm currently having my Stillen Kit + Front end repainted $650
