i know this may sound stupid to you guys... but i just LOVE the way the VI (Variable intake) cover looks on our engines!!! but i don't have the money to buy a MEVI, so my question to you guys is, is it at all posiable to put on a VI cover without a VI installed? thanks

you will have a large space where the top of the VI should be.. i think it would look awful without the VI installed..

The bracket that holds the cover gets screwed into the actual manifold. So without a VI I dont see how you could attach the cover properly.
