pretty unique suspension question
my friend has a drift tuned ae86(corrola from initial d) with j spec ae92 motor(how he put ff motor in a fr boggles my mind but yeah). kinda irrelavant on the max org but thing is his suspension. he is using kyb agx's shocks for the front and some cheaper tokicko blues for rear on some pretty stiff springs(dunno what brand).he drives the canyons and autocrosses pretty hard and the suspension holds up well.. i was just wondering if this could be done with the max. i know going agx all around is the best but for someone on a budget, would it still fuction well... i was considering buying agx's for front and like hr2's or tokico blues for rear to save some cash. anyone out there think it will work..?
i hear eibachs are pretty stiff.im gettin eibachs..can the tokicos handle them.?

wow. what a loaded post.
I'm not even going to comment on the initial D stuff.
Anyway, you're not going to save much money going with AGX front and Tokico rears, plus the Tokico rears are weak. Usually people do the opposite; they will go with Tokico front struts, and the AGX shock rears.
The corolla is a tiny car; there is no comparison to the roomy, midsize sedan in handling. Plus the luxury suspension (read: mini van rear beam) doesn't lend itself towards a completely stiff setup. People seem happy enough with the results from AGX and H&R or B&G.
If you want a track suspension, check out the JIC coilovers.
