Tried the instructions for programming remote...didn't work

Hey I tried the instructions for reprogramming two keyless remotes for my car. Here is what I did:

1) inserted key in and out 6 times within 10 seconds.
-the hazards blinked twice. so far so good.

2) then, I pressed the lock button on the remote I wanted programmed.
-the hazards blinked once. like butter, right?

then, I attempted the procedure for programming a second remote.
-the hazards flashed and all looked good.

Then, I tried using both the remotes. Neither one does anything now. Even my keyless remote that I did have working doesn' work now. I attempted the procedure again, and I can't get the car to even flash twice after step one (insert key in & out 6 times within 10 seconds). Does anyone have some recommendations? I need help.

Yes. I did that. And the hazards flashed when the instructions said they would. I probably made a mistake somewhere during the process. But the problem now is I can't get the car to respond to the procedure anymore.

After it did not work the first time, I started over. I closed the door, locked them all, put the key in and out at least 6 times in less than 10 seconds, but the car did not respond. It is almost like the car is in a lockout and will not accept any more attempts. What should I do?

Yeah. The first thing I did was get in, close the door, and lock the doors. Then I went through the rest of the steps. I thought it worked the first time since the hazards flashed when they were supposed to. But now none of the remotes work.

And I cannot get the hazards to blink the first time after I insert and remove the key 6 times within 10 seconds. Do I need to undo the battery to reset the ECU or something?

Those are what I followed.

I performed step one and two of Entering "setting mode". But the hazards will not flash like they are supposed to in step 2. Any ideas why the car is performing like this?

If they dont flash, take the key out.. Unlock the door, open the door and close it and try again. Dont keep trying the in-out key thing because that wont work.

From what I understand the hazards flashed for both remotes. This is what you probably forgot. After you push both buttons to program them, pull the key out of the ignition, unlock the "!Driver Side Door Only(MANUALLY)!" and open it. Now shut your door and the remotes should work.

Ok. I'll try it again this evening.

Is there a reason why my original remote does not work now on my car? It worked like a charm right up until I attempted the reprogramming for the other remotes.

And does disconnecting the battery reset everything in the ECU including the area dealing the security system? Thanks everyone. Hopefully, I'll get this thing worked out.
