Congrats on your new toy. How is the construction of the Y-pipe? How are the welds?

Thanks

I find them to be really good welds. Theres no holes or anything and the welds are all even across the whole weld area, all-in-all im very satisfied. Will have it on this weekend for the 16th meet in bradenton!!!

I love my budget, no problems at all and I love the low growl it adds.

Hey guys, i got it put on tonight, and man, i LOVE it, the butt dyno definately detects added pep!! Everything fit perfectly and i LOVE the low growl it adds when you start up the car. Adds a fiercer sound to my intake, its great, no CELs either. What i dont like is the damn paint burning off , other than that, its all good, VERY satisfied customer!!

GET A BUDGET!!

Eric

(haha, can you tell im excited??)

I do have one complaint though, has anyone with a budget or any y-pipe for that matter, experienced a metalic rasp?? I think something is rubbing, i read something about the Cat-cover shield could be to blame?...can this be so? I mean its not annoying, i dont think its an air leak, since they dont make metalic rubbing noises, and im about 95%sure all the bolts are pretty damn tight...

But oh yeah...raced my cousins '03 Accord V-6 coupe (that B!tch is quick!!) just now (again), and wow, from behind she pulls up to the accord from a roll, and just keeps pulling well past 100!!

Are you sure one of your pipes is not rubbing on a cross bar to hold your exhaust in. My car did that a month after the exhaust was done and all i had to do was tighten the rubber strap to hold it up.

Yep thats it. My pipe was making noise on the little metal piece that is like a safety to the pipe. Its right behind the cat on the way to the muffler.

Good Luck

Was it the Y PIPE or the B PIPE that'll fail your car's emission test..? I'm kind of confused

The b-pipe doesn't change anything emissions-related. You can still pass emissions with a y-pipe as long as the car is warmed up and your OEM main cat is in good condition. Only the pre-cats are replaced, not the main cat.
