Hey guys, Pearl96max, very reputable guy here on the org has a friend who is an OBX distributor and while i was waiting for my catback to come in, told me about him and talked on the phone with him from time to time to check prices and whatnot. I haven't talked to Pearl96max about this yet but just so i dont waste his time mentioning it, I want to see who's actually interested in getting this catback.

There are 3 types, 95-96, 97-99 and i think 99.5 to like 2002. I'll have to reassure this. I can tell you right now these will not be going for 260 shipped because this guy gets them directly from OBX, i'm not sure how ssautochrome was getting them that cheap but i can guarantee you that the communication will be there for 1, and i can also check to make sure there are no fitment issues. But so i dont waste their time, i just want to see who's interested in one. If enough people show interest, i'll present this to Pearl96max and his friend and we'll work something.

And no this will not turn out to be a TT situation , i just believe in this catback and wouldnt mind helping other people on here get them...cheaper than greddy, apexi, and same specs.

I'm looking to see 10+ people showing interest...otherwise, i wont waste their time bringing it up...

I'm interested. I am a bit concerned about the fact that the guy from SSAutoChrome insists that all the 95-98 use the same parts, since they obviously don't (o2 sensor bung placement) and also the slight fitment issues. The main reason I was attracted to the OBX is 1) Price and 2)noise level. From what I hear it's very quiet. Get a definitive or even ballpark figure on price and timeframe and I'm in.

 

I'm in. And I'm definetly willing to pay extra for GOOD customer service. Get pricing, and I'm sure you'll see this thread explode.

i'm happy to see you guys are interested but this is ONLY a gauging interest, no group deal made, i havent even spoke to him about this, just know i told him about the first group deal i was in...he is a dealer with them but there could be a back order and whatnot. Before setting up the group deal, i'll cover all areas so u guys are all satisfied but for now, just making sure enough people WOULD be interested.

 

In terms of fitment, the problem was a jacka55 selling a cat-back that was manufactured to fit the 97-98 (and early 99) maxima, to people with 95-96, and 99's as well.

As you can now see, there are three models manufactured by OBX. Assuming this GD will run as professional as I have seen these two org members present themselves (pearl and mecca), I have no doubt that you will either get the cat-back for your car, or no cat-back at all (they won't sell you the wrong one).

Which is why, as long as there are enough orders, I'm not worried about a thing.

 

Well lets see . . . pending accurate model application and pricing of $300 or less shipped, you've already got like 4 people, and this thread is brand new. Well of 15 were screwed in the previous group deal, and I'm sure they'll be meandering their way across this thread soon enough.

If ten is all you need, I highly suggest you get going on working out the details. Because by the time you do, I guaruntee, you'll have more than enough orders to fill 10.

Well then they better update their literature. Becaue it explicitly states on their company website, those model numbers.

 

Yea I called them yesterday and he definetly told me just to plug the o2 sensor hole in the B-pipe and put it on...worse comes to worse Ill bring it in and have it cut to fit

sorry guys, but seller cant make a deal for 300, especially not shipped. Shipping is hella expensive and the profit margin on these catbacks are very small. I can understand too because my 2k1 muffler cost 40 dollars to ship UPS ground, now how much with a b-pipe?! its gotta be insane. either ssautochrome has a great connection with fedex or they got some hot a$$ catbacks.....

Either way, if you are looking for a catback at an amazing price, stay with ssautochrome and bear with the bad communication, but you'll get a super deal.

if you want a DESCENT price and want a catback which isnt as high priced as greddy, obx is still there for u....if some of u people cant get it from ssautochrome or dont want to deal with him and dont care about pricing, email/PM me and i'll get a price for you...
