timing chain

I have a 98 max with 107000 miles on the clock. I was wondering if and when I should replace my timing chain so it doesn't break and blow up my motor. The dealer says I don't haver to replace it, but I don't completely trust them
Thanks

They made our cars with a chain so you don't have to replace them all the time. There is no need to replace the timing chain. If it breaks you had other problems with your car.

don't worry about the chain...as long as you do your engine oil changes regularly and use a decent filter.

my local dealer commentent about 200K on a maxima timing chain "not even being broken in yet".

on the other hand, belts should be changed every 100K-130K

good luck,
JB
