Some Kind Of Slipping...help Me Please, I Just Got My Car Back!!!

GAHHHH! i just got my car back today, and after like a 1/2 hour of driving, i noticed a problem...when i step on the gas, maybe put it halfway down, or even just tap it...i watch the tach needle just JUMP, and HEAR the engine rev up, and then the rpms come down to a little above where they were when i tapped the gas...and then i accelerate semi normally...the car really doesn't do it that much when i am in 1st, but the further on in the gears i get, the WORSE it gets (in fifth its like i am sitting in two inches of snow and just spinning when i hit the gas)...its almost like what it would look like if you spun your tires, and then they caught, and you accelerated out of it...but they are NOT spinning...i dunno what to do, take it back to the stealership and say, you missed something, fix it, or what..i am so ****ed, and worried...what do you think the problem is...the clutch seems to engage fine, although i am a newbie, and might not be able to tell...PLEASE HELP!!!

SOMETHING must be slipping tho...sighhhhhhhh

I think your clutch is gone, or maybe the shop didnt line up the tranny and motor the correct way.

would GLE-5 tranny oil make the clutch slip or something? I'm just curious.... i don't know if the transmission system even allows oil around that area lol.

oh yeah, i've been having a leak for the longest time around the drive-axel seal, is it possible some of that oil could get around/into the clutch if it isn't already suppose to be there. Thanks!

i hate differential bearings!

no oil or liquid of any kind should be in the clutch housing. that will cause slipping.

Not really. Everything else from the engine to the wheels is a direct mechanical link, unless all the gears got stripped somehow. That is highly unlikley though and the common thing here is slipping, which happens in the clutch.

The thing is that his clutch didnt slip before the accident. It only started slipping after the accident.

I think you are right about the tranny/engine alignment.

Could this be throttle hesitation. You push the gas down and a second later the rpms go up and then your speed increases? If this is the case your throttle cable could need adjustment or your throttle body needs cleaned.

it doesn't matter,,, it will start to get worse... this is what happened in all the 5 speed cars i've owned... i'm 99.9 % sure it's a bad clutch... mine is doing the exact 100% same thing, and i haven't been in a accident. just doing crazy burnouts.
