question about "dropping" my max

i just replaced my stock 16's with 2k2 17's to try to get rid of some of the space between my tire and wheelwell, but it did nothing to alleviate some of that ugly space. i think i'm going to drop my car, but i dont know anything about it. how much does it usually cost? one of my friends suggested i drop it 1.8 inches or 1.5 inches. where do i buy the stuff and get it done? i'm new with this stuff so if someone can tell me how i would go about doing this and how much it would cost i would appreciate it.

thanks in advance,

Mike

Getting bigger rims doesn't changed the diameter of your wheel/tire combo.
You have to lower it. The best look is a 2" drop but most suggest a 1.5 because of better ride quality.
Go to www.custommaxima.com www.cattman.com www.maxxtuningusa.com etc.
Form now on try using the search at the top of the screen so people don't harp on you for not searching.

if your on a budget.. maxspeeds springs are cheap and from what i hear perform pretty well..ride quality stays pretty decent. drop is only 1.5 though.. still leaves you with about a 2 finger gap. u can get the springs for around 110 shipped.. your wheel gapp didnt change becaue u got bigger rims but your tire profile hieght is also thinner.. 55 ont eh 16's and probaly 50 or 45 ont he 17's..
