Looks like the Phillips Allweathers are just as crappy as the Hella Yellowstars I used to buy every 5 minutes. The only difference seems to be that the Allweathers are not nearly as cool looking...they're "****ty headlight" yellow, not "nifty foglight" yellow.
I guess now the PIAA ION Crystals are next in the "garbage foglight bulbs that I have to change every 6 months" line.

What wattage are you running? Do you run them all the time?

No, I know about the touching the bulbs thing...I only handle them by the metal flange part...I'm pretty careful about that.
The wattage was an issue with the Yellowstars. They were 85W and were obviously blowing because of the heat. I could almost accept that. But the Phillips were only 55W and I don't really run them THAT much. It's also been cold as a mother****er around here lately (Boston). The yellow stars would usually last through the winter and then blow in the summer when it was hot.
I'm actually not that upset that I have to try some different bulbs, because the Philips were not nearly yellow enough, but it does make me mad that even they (at 55W) blew so quickly (less than a year).
