Car won't start after neon install....help (long)
I had a set of neons under the dash that someone else installed for me. I was trying to install some under the seats now. I reached the place that was tapped for power by the old neons underneath the steering column. I had the old neons on to help me see. So I tied the new neons on. I unscrewed the metal plate (the one you would undo to take down the steering column) to use as a ground. But when I took it off the metal plate touched the area that was tapped by the old neons and they cut off. Now everything that was on that harness has no power...radio, acc, starter, and the neons. I have no idea what happened, maybe when the metal touched the wire tap it used me as a ground and shorted.
Any suggestion, thanx in advance for the help - Chad

Look at the fuse block under the hood. If I recall correctly.... There are some fuses with a clear top. Check each one. It will be very noticable if one is blown.

If it's one of the fuse blocks (fusible links) under the hood, it may be easier just to goto dealer. Of course you'll pay out yer ***, but it cuts down on going store to store and having someone match it up.
