How much will the tank of a 98 SE auto hold? I never really let it get much less than half before I refill it

 

I think it's an 18 gallon tank.

 

I am not sure about the 98, but my 99 se has a 18.9 gallon tank. if it is the same, do the math. 18.9 x (current gas price) = result.

It's a fairly standard size tank for Nissan to use. Pretty large by sedan standards. I love not having to refuel for 400miles. It's how it should be!

 

I'm glad you got past numbers in school.

When you fill, the tank is never exactly empty though..

 

I WISH it was 400 miles, its more like 275 for me.

I get 400+ per tank. Must be the fact that I drive 85 miles per day all highway.

 

I only get 285 miles per gallon, could be that I have a bad knock sensor, or it could be that I have a heavy foot It's also all city driving.

 

I'll give you a hint, it's called an owner's manual.

 

For that kind of mileage I wouldn't dare complain

I average about 350 miles a tank...The last time I filled up I put 18.17 gallons and I had 365 miles on my trip....That is city and highway driven....I have a 97se auto with 119,800 miles....

 

i actually ran out of gas and stopped in the middle of traffic... after filling up only, got 17 gallans in??? is this normal... i though we had 18 gallon tank... how come only 17 went in after i was runnging on fumes????

 

Were you on a hill when you ran out?

 

My gauge got to dead out E the other day...no light or anything, and when I filled it was at 17 gallons. 370 miles on the tank. My thing is when will that damn light come on???
