Starting problem!! talk 2 tech at Nissian?

ok i have a buddy that works at nissian and he said that my starting problem is my starter. just replaced at 10,000 miles ago(autozone). he told me count the teeth on the starter cause if it has 7 change it and if it has 10 its the right one. (mine has 8). said that its a know problem??
now all this started after i did my trans work R+R. bought new coolant, crank (POS) sensor clean throttle body etc. its starts up everyday but after like 10 times turn the key just cranks and doesn't fire up.(almost sounds like its out of time) anyone esle have this starter issue???casue before all of this it was great!

thanx jeff

Your saying it cranks, then the starter is doing its job. All the starter has to do is turn the engine. If it's doing that sucessfully, leave it alone.

The tech at Nissan is sort of correct, the 10 tooth starter is the better choice.
