red/clear reflector

red/clear reflector

I did the red/clear taillight mod and when my frend was driving behind me and i turned on the signals, he said he couldnt see it really well. Is there any place where i can get true automotive reflectors instead of the flourescent light covers. About how much would they be

what's 1 good reason you need to be able to see the reflectors while signaling?

He means you can't really see the turn signals since the plastic everyone uses to make the clear pieces is crap... it's true, I've done mine over twice since getting them and it hasn't changed a bit. Don't even bother painting the inside reflector with "chrome-look" paint, it doesn't help. There's really nothing you can do, the visibility of the clear rear 97-99 lights is going to be bad any way you look at it.

ah i see what he's asking now....i thought he was talking about the reflecter on the side of the tail light

try running brighter bulbs perhaps? i hardly use my turn signal during the day unless someone is behind me, and i havent had problems yet..
