People with y-pipe i need your help..!

it's been a week since i install my y-pipe...i love the added power above 2500rpm...but today when crusing around 40-50mph i notice this squeaking or more like ticking sound...i don't think it's the "bees in the can" sound that people complain about..however, when i go above 50mph the sound goes away...any thoughts? also do u guys notice a little vibration on the gas pedals after installing y-pipe?

does it sound like metal to metal rattling? could be that your ypipe is toughing your "k-member" or that your o2 sensor is rubbing up against some sheet metal under there. go under the car and see if anything like that is happening. yes after ypipe I notice more vibration that I can feel through the steering wheel, pedal, shfter etc. its the resonation that the ypipe makes.

well then, is it a constant tick? or a whistle sound? alot of pipes have whisting sounds that come from the flex section of the pipe. only thing I can think of is to wrap the flex part with header wrap and see if that makes it go away.

it doesnt twist it just bends slightly. the exhaust leaks right through the flex thats why the wrap works.

Well i dunno about a squeaking sound, but i know i have a very annoying rasp after installing the Y-pipe. It sounds like metal on metal rubbinb but i cant find the source. I even took off my heat sheild. Searched and scoured the pipe and nothin seems to be wrong, im gonna take it off again and maybe put some sealer (silicone or something like that) around all the gaskets to make sure i dont have that air leak sound anymore too. Its especially horrible on cold starts, rasps unbelievably loud. The actual muffler (stock) sounds great though, sounds like i have an aftermarket muffler (nothing loud, just noticeable) Also the gains arent quite there, but i pulled a CEL yesterday and it said my MAF sensor was screwed up, but its cleared now and hasnt come back. Will give it 2 days or so..

However in its defense, under WOT, it sounds great...
