how do i get tint off rear window?

I took the tint off the rear window but tons of glue reamains. I know i can't use a razor on the window because i will ruin the heater elements. Any suggestions on how to quickly and effectivily remove this glue, thanks.

I have a answer to your question.
I worked at Autotint shop and we removed tons of bad tints.
The trick is Ammonia, piece of black Garbage bag and lots of Sun.
Here's how to do it:

1) buy a pure ammonia (it's like a $1 for half gallon) and spary lots of them on the tint residue.
Wear the mask & glasses otherwise it's almost impossible to breath or see (because of Ammonia).

2) place a towel on the bottom as it will starts to drip.

3) spary plenty of ammonia again then immediately cover it up with black garbage bag and use tape to secure the bag on place.
Make sure you cover up the entire glass.

4) let it sit on the sun for hour or so.
Summer sun works better but hey! it's only March now...

5) Pill off one side to see the tint residue.
It should be very very soft now (if not spray some more and let it sit for one more hour) and comes off nicely.
use more ammonia & clean towel to remove the rest.
(Don't use the blade)

It's piece of cake to remove! and please don't use those so called "tint remover" because it's not easy to remove that way and cost more.
Try above steps, that's what most tintshop uses to remove and charge you like $100.
Do it yourself and feel good about it!
