Anyone ever experience a rattle coming from the cavity which exists between the interior roof and the exterior roof? I have a '99 SE with a moonroof and took it to the dealer looking for a fix. They said they found it but it's at it again. I have a friend with a VW Golf who has a moonroof and his seems much more solidly constructed than the one on my Max. Hey, I know they're different makes but if we can send a man to the moon.... you know the rest. Any thoughts? It's driving me nuts.

 

Yes, I have a rattle coming from the moonroof area as well. Not audible with the roof and panel closed though. Open that panel to get some sunlight and it starts ticking. Drives my bonkers. I think it may be one of the moving parts in the moonroof assembly. Short of hanging someone out of the moonroof while I'm driving not sure what it is.....

 

Yeah, I got the same problem. Whenever I open that
shade thing for the moonroof, I hear a rattle, kind
of like a ticking sound. Drives me crazy too.

 

i have that and I dont even have a moon roof

 

turn up the radio...hahah j/p
to be honest i never had that problem but, i have had rattles on other cars i have owned. Here are some possible solutions...Dynamatting, bushings, new hangers....all i can offer
