our cars only have a two wheel alignment, courtesy of out rear bar.
Plugs you can get some NGK Coppers for 2 bucks each and you can do your own brakes, its prety easy, as well as the air filter, plugs and fuel fiter. Check courtesyparts.com for good prices.

and for the struts, yon can get a whole set of AGX's for $330 in a GD.

so yes you are getting ripped of.

get the spark plugs off of ebay, they are $30 + $5 shipping for all 6 plugs (platinum ngk PFR5G-11)

as for brakes, get something like metal masters, kvr, porterfield, etc. they are better performing than stock and are cheaper than those prices.

instead of getting stock front struts, spend another $70 and get KYB AGX for ALL 4 STRUTS.

there is no such thing as a 4 wheel alignment for our car since the rear is a beam axle, its only the front 2 wheels.

what the hell is engine tune up??? he probably won't touch the engine....just charging you for nothing.

one more thing, do the brakes and suspension yourself...
a friend helped me out with the brakes the first time, now i learned and can do them myself, its not hard.

Actually....all the labor prices sound about right. The parts are a bit on the high side. You could go out and buy all those parts yourself and get him to do the work. No mechanic will say no unless it's the dealership.

if u pay someone to do it, shop around, and if theres is one piece of advice i can give you when dealing with mechanics is not to just nod your head and say yes to whatever he says, thats how they feel like they are in control. ask questions. immediately i would have asked the guy why am i spending 110 to instal pads. any mechanic can put in pads in less than an hour. i put in my pads in like 1.5 hours and i dont have one of those car lifts(had to jack each side individually) and i dont have air tools(unscrew each bolt with tire iron. did he quote you on the price of parts cause it seems lke each part is doubled price of what i payed. here is my price break down.

-spark plugs 11.00 each platinum NGK
-fuel filter 13.00 pep boys
-pcv valve 2.98 or so pep boys
-APC cone filter(upgrade) 17.99 autozone
-Labor 0.00, i did it myself
***Good luck man, if you didnt get this done already than look around, get a pricing on parts before you go to mechanics to make sure you arent being suckered.
p.s. never pay extra to get 4 wheel alignment, its just extra money for the thieving mechanic.
Mabey try to do some of the stuff your self, pcv is like 5 min but be careful with the hose, mine was hard and i snapped it, lol stupid me.

FOUR WHEEL THRUST ANGLE!

I don't think any alignment shop will do a 2 wheel alignment. You must shoot all four wheels which sets the front in line with the rear. Thats how you get a perfectly straight steering wheel.

It's affirmative, you got taken. You could have done most of the above yourself for probably 1/4 the cost.

They still need a 4 wheel alignment performed. The front are aligned to the rear, and the rear alignment range is specified.

I dont know if this guy is your regular mechanic or what, but when I took my car in to my mom's mechanic he overcharged me out the ***. Your best bet is to talk it over with him. My guy was a **** and wouldn't lower the price at all so I told him to have fun trying to get more customers. He said he'd give me a free transmission flush and oil change though which was better than nothing, but I'm not letting him touch my car again.
