Sam's Club gas
#6
So, I'll ask the question again. Who does Sam's get their gas from? Because I have been putting it in my car, since these CRIMINALS are molesting us at the pumps.
humberto_i30 Never use Sam's gasoline on a MAX or I30, is like eat caviar with flour tortillas, please ! Sam's gasoline is the worst gasoline of all gasolines, it fried my brother brand new Chevy Silverado Injectors.
What proof do you have on this statement, that Sam's gas did this?

Very easy Darthswan, my brother used to put only sam's gasoline on his Chevy Silverado from the first day he pull out his new truck from the dealer, one month later the injectors were ticking so loud and one week later the truck doesn't started at all. Pulled to the dealership and 4 of 8 injectors were completely clogged. The mechanic at the dealership asked my brother where he is getting gas for the truck and he answered that at Sam's gas station, they told my brother not to use that kind of gasoline, not for the brand, just because Gasoline is not the MAIN business of SAM's and they don't take the special care EXXON or MOBIL or CONOCO in their filters and subterrain tanks, they don't clean and change the filters in his pumps as frequently as CONOCO or EXXON do, may be the gasoline source is the same but not the way they maintain their pumps and filters. After that my brother switched to EXXON and he is now 1 and 1/2 year away from trouble speaking of injectors ticking, or injectors clogged. You see now !

Sams doesnot sell gas. Murphy USA does. Murphy owns a refinery so they have their own gas. Gas is all the same as must be tested by the various state's agencies (usually dept of agriculture/weights and measurers or something). 91 Octane is the same everywhere. If not the station is fined and/or shut down. There is only a difference in the additives each retailer adds.
As someone above said, there could be a diff in the quality of the stations equipment. But that is very difficult to tell. I know of Amocos/Exxons with 1-3" of water in teir tank. This doesn't matter much b/c the intake in the tank is supposed to be several inches above the bottom of the tank.
How do I know this stuff?Lets just say that I work i the industry.

You don't need to clean your injectors unless they are in real trouble, but you can use Red Line Fuel System cleaner to make sure you got a clean fuel system if this is a concern for you. You can get the Red Line Fuel System from PepBoys and it costs like 7-8 dlls.
