If my terminals keep on getting corroded, is there a problem with the electrical system or is this normal. I bought some of those red and green felt washers to install but I,m wondering if this is only a "band-aid" fix or if it is OK. TYIA

you can wash it with baking soda and that will take care of the corrision and can use 2 way tape and 2 pennies near the terminals and that may help keep the acid off of them, also theirs some spray you can buy for that too

Grease works, not pretty or very clean though.

I work at a diesel shop and we always coat the terminals with a thick grease after we put them back on. Supposed to seal out any water or contaminants. It's kinda messy though if you have to take them off soon after for some reason. Seems to do the trick though. If water gets there, you can get electrolosis between the battery and the cable which equals a bad connection.
