My max se 97 is very loud at 3000 rpm from under the hood. It sounds like an exhaust in the front. I have 30k in my max.

What about you guys? Do you all have a loud racing noise at about 300rpm?

 

Nope, no loud racing noise...except for my intake. You probably have an exhaust leak

If you dont have any mods, then you have a problem. I have gotten used to that noise on my car but its supposed to do that.

 

 

i blew a gasket on the exhaust in my tempo, and it sounded like a
V-8 Diesel. it was pretty cool, until i got a ticket for it.

 

 

I do have just a pop-charger mod but the racing loud noise is masking the sound of the pop-charger. If it is an exhaust leak, that would be under the car right? Do you think I have any air leak in the engine area?
