Indiglo Gauges

since i cant search, please dont blast me for not doing so, i would have to answer this question, but....

anyways

I bought these
http://store.yahoo.com/southwestauto...smaxrevi1.html

and am using this
http://www.seas.ucla.edu/~cheston/In...loinstall.html
to guide me thru installing it.
my problem is this. i have a 99maxima (gen 4.5)
step 13 says to tap into the blue wire for power, mine doesnt have a blue wire, just 3 colored wires, RED/BLUE , RED/YELLOW, and Black (slver stripes) ... I know is says if no blue to use meter to identify correct voltage. But what is the correct voltage?

another thing, i just placed the new gauges on top of the old gauges. i couldnt remove the old ones... is this ok?

thanks alot

i cant answer the wire question, but am almost sure that your supposed to lay the indiglos over the stock ones. The indiglos arent replacement gauges. Thats how my friends were put on on his mirage.
