for $4000 or under i wouldnt plan any major money being put into it. my first maxima was a 1990 GXE. got it for $3750. you might be able to find a 95 for $4000 but i doubt it. just look for a 92-94.

i payed $4500 for my 95 green se, but its got lots of miles on it. had pretty new clutch, got new rotors, spark plugs with it aswell. If you look out there you can find something.

My friend brought a 97 se smashed a bit, fixed it for under $800 so far. needs airbags, a center consle piece, and some minor body work still and hes all set. New clucth, flywheel, front windshield, stage 2 ACT clutch, custom maxima straight pipe(new), with the buy.

So ther are good buys out ther just make sure you check a car out well if its smashed and make sure the motor wasn't moved.

After much searching, I found my 98 Max SE for $8K at a dealer auction. That might be a little high, but go for the 4th Gen! We rule.
