Transmission--Filter and/or Gasket??
I am getting ready to do a tranny flush...Team Nissan in Scottsbluf, NE says there is no filter or gasket.
Is this true and is there any helpful hits in doing a flush using the coolant lines. I plan on using AMSOIL synthetic ATF for the flush.
Take care,

There is a tranny pan gasket and you must replace it!
There is no filter per say. It's a screen and usually doesn't need to be replaced. You can clean it with a lint free rag if it's dirty. Mine was clean at 50,000 miles. The magnets on the bottom of the pan were completely full of a fine metalic black sludge. Take the magnets out and clean them up really good.
The tranny clean and flush with Amsoil makes a big difference in the shifts.

Replace the pan filter and get a new OEM transmission plan gasket.
You know if you only drop the pan/use the drain plug, you are only emptying out about 3.75-4qts of transmission oil.
I know this may sound stupid but go to a Jiffy Lube or anyone who can do a complete transmission serivce. What they do is hook it up to a machine called a T-Tec and it taps into your transmission line. It sucks every bit of fluid out while filling it with new. Then you can also pour a couple of extra qts in to flush it out.
