How Much Does Your Max Weigh?

I was looking on my inspection sticker a few minutes ago and i notice the weight. I think my car is lighter than usual. My car weighed 2898lbs from the factory stock. Is this unusual? I didn't strip out anything yet. Post your car weight so we can get an idea of the average wieght for a Maxima.

It doesn't make much sense if you ask me. The difference in weight between a GXE 5 speed and a loaded SE 5 speed should only be around 50-60 lbs. The only difference between the cars is their options. Everything else is the same. The barebones GXE comes in at around 3000lbs.

My 96 SE 5 speed (moonroof, power seat) with Warpspeed SFCs (~25 lbs), 1/2 tank of gas, spare/jack, 25 lbs of tools and nick-nacks weighed in at 3240lbs with me in the car on a certified CAT scale. Take me out (185 lbs) and my car weighs around 3050lbs. The DMV lists my car's weight at 3000lbs (GXE model weight). Race weight would be around 2950lbs without me in the car.

When I registered my car after I bought it, it clocked in at 3087(+/- a few pounds, need to look at it again) I think. Thought our cars were heavier than that Suddenly Civics don't seem so light anymore.

Sorry I didn't get this number off of my inspection sticker, I got it off of my registration card. The card says 2898lbs I doubled checked. I would post the card on the org. but I don't want to post my personal information on the net. My car is a 5spd 99 cali-spec, It is naked with no major options except power doors and windows and the white face guages, thats about it. But the rgistration card say 2898lbs I was even suprised. I'm not trying to make anything up or pull anyones leg but thats what it really says.

Mine is 2905 with me in it at the track. Without me but with all the stuff that came on my car stock, but still not much gas, you'd be looking at about 2900 in stock trim. With me and with gas obviously more.

So with everyone's posts with their weight, would you consider 3000lbs normal or race weight for a Maxima?

Nealoc187 are you going to try the steering pump thing at the track?
