Painting calipers and dash???

Painting calipers and dash???

Hey i want to paint my dash and i was wonder what paint you guys use when you do it also what kind of paint do you use for calipers???

you can go to auto zone or a place liek that and get high temp engine paint and high temp clear coat for your calipers.


also they make spray paint for caipers.




painting your dash.. donno.. never looked into it

I wouldn't recommend painting your dash unless you take it to a paint shop and have them sand it down, paint it, and clear coat it and everything. You could do it yourself but it won't look as good unless you take your time and sand and smooth the surface, and then do a good job of painting it. Believe me, if you just make an afternoon of it you won't be happy with it. My friend did the same to his Avalon and he is less than happy about it. You could always switch dashes to a black one if that's eaht your wanting to do?

I used high temp engine spray paint for the spark plug cover and Foliatec for the calipers. Foliatec comes with a lacquer bottle which helps the paint harden. Foliatec is more expensive and not necessary for the cover IMO. I have pics on my homepage if you want to see the results.
