Interior Bulb WriteUp for A 98 SE

The LEDs for the rear doors are different but the front are the same as 95-97s. The rear ones are very small and hard to work with. maximadriver.com has a write up in the how to section but the link to the 98+ rear switches did not work for me. I suggest taking them apart the switches and looking before you decide to do it or not. Good luck.

what you mean the security led you cant change, i did it on my 98 se and my frineds 99 se-l and a 2k1 se. it is also possible to change the led on the rear doors i did it and it looks great. just a note, the 97-2k1 the door leds are 3mm sizes so dont get those 5mm from radio shack. those are too big...my $0.02

I got a 98 and changed the LEDs in all of my door switches. The rear doors are a pain because they are so small. If you know how to solder is not that bad. If not, just take your time. like I said before just open'em up and see what you got. Always be careful not to lose any of the internal parts if you do. Radio Shack has the 3mm bulbs too. If you look on cardomain for maxtank. He did all his swiches in red and had a write up but seems to be down now. I don't know if he's on the ORG or what. I hope this unconfuses you a little.
